Student Welfare

Welfare Service

The Welfare Team are a confidential service that can provide advice and support for a wide range of issues or possible difficulties students may be facing. We are not counsellors, but we are happy to listen and offer support or make suggestions where this is possible.  We have found that students prefer having a safe environment where they can express themselves and work towards positive outcomes.

The Welfare Officer is here to help you with any personal challenges you may experience during your time at Mont Rose College and is able to advise you on a wide range of personal and welfare issues that may impact your studies and day-to-day life, including:

  • Settling in and adjusting to College/University life
  • Crisis support
  • Family or relationship issues
  • Harassment and bullying
  • Drug or alcohol issues
  • If you are victim of violence (crime/sexual/domestic/hate)
  • Concerns about a friend
  • Stress (personal or study related)
  • Abuse
  • If you don’t know where to go for help
