UCAS application deadline
UCAS imposes deadlines on certain courses, and they are as follow:
15 October –for all Medical, Dentistry and Veterinary courses
15 January – for all other courses
Most of the high-ranking universities do not accept the applications after the UCAS set deadlines. Moreover, some universities do not allow international students to apply after the deadlines. Thus, it is better to contact the chosen university and enquire about the courses deadline before submitting the application through UCAS.
Do I Have to Take an Admissions Test?
Many universities make it a basic requirement to have an admissions test for dentistry, Bachelor Degree medicine and veterinary medicine through the UKCAT or the BMAT. Certain universities require the same for Law, and the testsknown as LNAT.
Application Fee and Funding Options for Undergraduate Courses
For a single application the UCAS application fee is £18 and additional £6 for each extra options chosen.
There are three main funding options available to students:
Self-funding – majority of students pay their own tuition fee throughout the completion of the course.
University scholarship – most of the universities in the UK provide a partial scholarship for the international undergraduate students. You can use the scholarship database to see its availability at universities.
