On March 6th, 2025, the Employability Department hosted a Student Finance Repayment Workshop to address common misconceptions about student loans and prepare students for their financial future. Led by Employability Coordinator Eva, Michael from the Student Finance Department, and Student Ambassador Mariyana, the workshop provided clear guidance on loan types, repayment plans (Plan 1 and Plan 2), thresholds, and income-based repayment calculations.
Students actively engaged in the session, asking insightful questions and gaining reassurance that student debt is manageable. The workshop successfully reduced financial anxiety and helped students understand how to align loan repayment with their long-term career goals.
Positive feedback highlighted the session’s clarity and motivational impact, with many students feeling more confident and empowered to pursue high-skill employment. Overall, the workshop was a valuable step in equipping students with the knowledge and mindset needed for financial independence and professional success.
