World Book Day is more than just a day—it’s a celebration of stories, imagination, and the power of words to connect us. At Mont Rose College, we enthusiastically embraced this occasion, transforming our space into a literary haven where staff and students shared their love for books.
A Mini-Library for Everyone
This year, we introduced something special: our mini-library in the cafeteria! Thanks to the generous book donations from our dedicated staff, the shelves were filled with a variety of books, each one carrying a recommendation from our MRC team. Whether it was a gripping novel, an inspiring biography, or a thought-provoking non-fiction piece, there was something for everyone to explore and enjoy during their breaks.
The Joy of Reading Aloud
One of the most heart-warming moments of the event was the Read-Aloud Session, where members of our MRC family gathered to share passages from their favourite books. What made this even more special was the active participation of our management team, who joined in to bring the stories to life. Their involvement reinforced the importance of reading and created a warm and inclusive environment where everyone felt encouraged and inspired.
Hearing different voices narrate powerful, funny, and inspiring passages from books reminded us of the beauty of storytelling and how literature connects people across backgrounds, interests, and experiences. It was a truly engaging and memorable time spent together as a college community.
