Taught by Practitioners, Not Just Professors
Our hospitality faculty combines academic learning with practical, industry-focused education to help students become career-ready professionals. Your lecturers are experienced professionals who bring real-world hospitality scenarios into every classroom.
Having worked in the Travel and Tourism industry before moving to Hospitality, I have accumulated over 16 years of experience across departments such as housekeeping, food and beverage, and front office management. I completed a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Hotel Management from West London University in 2004 and an MA in Management from Metropolitan University in 2006. Throughout my career I was the departmental trainer, which led me into education when I began teaching at Mont Rose College in 2011, having obtained a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector in 2010. I became Programme Manager for the Hospitality department in 2014, before completing a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing the Quality of Assessment in 2018 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Anglia Ruskin University, becoming a Fellow with ADVANCE HE in 2019. My responsibilities include managing all aspects of the Hospitality department — planning, delivery, and assessment of the HND programme, building a team of lecturers, and cultivating relationships with students. Over the years I have also managed the Hospitality Top-Up Bachelor programme and the Foundation year in partnership with Buckinghamshire New University.
I am a distinguished member of the faculty at Mont Rose College, where I have been imparting wisdom and expertise as a Hospitality Lecturer since September 2020 and fulfilling the vital role of Internal Verifier since July 2022. With a passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to academic excellence, I have been instrumental in shaping the next generation of hospitality professionals. My dedication to student success is evident in my personalised approach to mentorship, ensuring that each student receives the guidance and support they need to excel. As an Internal Verifier, I play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and excellence — ensuring the curriculum and teaching methods meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, so that graduates are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the hospitality industry.
