The air was filled with delicious aromas, laughter, and a palpable sense of community as Mont Rose College recently hosted a vibrant Iftar Dinner and BBQ to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. The event, held on 7th March 2025, was a resounding success, bringing together students and staff in a spirit of inclusivity and shared celebration.
Ramadan, a time of reflection, prayer, and community for Muslims worldwide, culminates each day with the Iftar meal, breaking the fast from sunrise to sunset. Mont Rose College embraced this tradition, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone to partake in the festivities.
From the moment attendees arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The campus was transformed with beautiful decorations, creating a beautiful and festive ambience. The main attraction, of course, was the food! A delicious spread of traditional Iftar dishes was prepared alongside a sizzling BBQ, catering to diverse tastes and dietary requirements. There was truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Beyond the mouth-watering food, the event provided a fantastic opportunity for students and staff from all backgrounds to connect and build relationships. The conversations flowed freely, bridging cultural gaps and fostering a deeper understanding of one another. The shared experience of breaking bread together, enjoying the beautiful evening, and celebrating Ramadan created a strong sense of belonging.
