Lecturer in Digital Technologies
I have been working as a Lecturer in Digital Technologies at Mont Rose College since June 2026. Before joining the College, I worked in software development and digital technologies for over four years, gaining industry experience in programming, cloud computing, networking, cyber security, and data-driven systems. My professional background allows me to combine practical industry knowledge with higher education teaching, supporting students in developing both technical and employability skills relevant to the modern digital sector.
I hold Master’s degree in data science from London South Bank University, where I studied areas including Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Analysis, and Research Methods.
Read MoreI currently teach across Level 4 and Level 5 Digital Technologies programme, delivering modules related to Cloud Computing, Networking, Programming, Cyber Security, Big Data, and Data Analytics. My teaching philosophy focuses on practical, lab-based, and employability-focused learning approaches that help students apply theoretical concepts to real-world digital technology scenarios.
Alongside teaching, I contribute to curriculum delivery, assessment, quality assurance, academic mentoring, and the development of learning resources within the department. I work closely with students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and remain committed to creating supportive and engaging learning environments that encourage confidence, critical thinking, and professional growth.
I am also an AWS Certified Solutions Architect with a strong interest in Cloud Computing, Data Science, and emerging digital technologies. I am passionate about supporting students in developing industry-relevant digital skills and preparing them for successful careers within the rapidly evolving technology sector.

Dhyey Patel
Lecturer in Digital Technologies
Hi, I’m Dhyey. Welcome to the course. I hold an MSc in Artificial Intelligence with Robotics and a BEng in Instrumentation and Control, and I have been teaching digital technologies, AI, networking, cybersecurity, robotics and embedded systems across Further and Higher Education in the UK for 3+ years. Alongside teaching, I have hands-on industry experience in IT support, having worked across Windows, macOS and Linux environments, Microsoft 365, networking and ITIL-based service delivery. I also founded and ran a technology company focused on IoT product development and educational technology, where I led a team and delivered STEM programmes in partnership with schools and colleges. I am particularly passionate about inclusive, practical learning. I have dedicated experience supporting SEN and autistic learners and always aim to make complex technical concepts accessible and relevant. My goal is to help you build real skills that open doors into the digital technologies sector and to nurture the entrepreneurial mindset in every one of you, so you don’t just enter the industry, but innovate within it.
