Academic Quality Assurance Manager

My original background is in the Hospitality industry where I spent nearly 20 years working in the Food and Beverage industry within contract caterers, merchant navy, bars and restaurants in hotels, managing a restaurant in a holiday resort in France, and a private member club here in the UK.

During this last experience I spent 10 years as a departmental trainer and after completing a teaching course in 2013, started to teach Hospitality Management on a part-time basis for Mont Rose College in 2014, becoming a full-time lecturer in 2016.

In 2018, I helped set up the Welfare department and started working in Quality Assurance as an internal verifier for the Hospitality department in January 2019.

As of May 2023, I was promoted to the position of Academic Quality Assurance Manager which includes being the Lead Internal verification officer for all the academic departments while managing the diverse quality assurance details.
