I embarked Mont Rose College on my academic journey in September 2023 as a student in Hospitality Management, previously having a major in Social Sciences with the Higher National Diploma – Level 3, and eager to continue my studies towards Top Up – Level 6. Three months later, in January 2024, I transitioned into a professional role within the college as an Events Officer within the Student Union Team. This position allows me to leverage my understanding and passion for hospitality in a practical, event-driven environment. My responsibilities include acting as a President of the Student Union, coordinating closely with the Employability and Marketing Team to orchestrate extracurricular activities for students, and collaborating with other student union council members to plan and execute fundraising events. I also gather and analyse feedback from event participants, manage budgets and financial reports for each event, ensure the active online presence of MRSU, assess risks for upcoming events, and devise regular activities to enhance the engagement of students with the student union.
