Be the Voice of Your Class
Class Representatives are the bridge between students and staff at Mont Rose College. They ensure every student’s voice is heard, helping to improve teaching, facilities, and overall student life. By becoming a Class Rep, you’ll play an essential role in shaping the MRC experience for yourself and your peers — while developing leadership, communication, and teamwork skills that will benefit you far beyond college.
What are the responsibilities of a Class Representative?
Class Representatives are expected to:
- Make sure all students in their programme know who they are and how to contact them.
- Collect student feedback on academic issues, college facilities, and services such as welfare, employability, alums, and progression.
- Attend Class Representative Committee Meetings and share student concerns or suggestions.
- Provide feedback to students about the outcomes of meetings and actions taken.
- Attend (where required) meetings such as the Board of Governors, Academic/Quality Assurance Board, Human Resource and Welfare Committee, and Programme Committees.
- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the class representative committee to the relevant committees.
- Work with the Student Union for campaigns, events, and student initiatives.
- Most importantly, all students should be represented fairly, not just their personal opinions.
