Facilities for You to Enjoy

A full range of student services exists to help you during your time at Mont Rose College. MRC provides an invaluable source of advice and support which is available to all students of the College.

Computing and Internet Facilities

Mont Rose College has both dedicated instructional computing facilities and plenty of PCs for all students. Hi-speed broadband connections are available for internet access for all students. In addition to this, the campus also offers free Wi-Fi hotspots for students.

Library Facilities

MRC has its own library that provides all texts, further readings and current editions of all necessary text books as well as space for student study. Students can borrow books from the College Library for a specified period of time. Local libraries are only a few steps away from the College, and we can help students become a member of other excellent libraries in London for further reference. We also allow students to use our virtual library, which stocks many e-books and journals.

Moodle-study 24/7

The College has installed Moodle for lecturers and students to facilitate the exchange of academic documents. Each student will be issued with a password and will be given free space to upload relevant documents onto his/her personal space. Using the password access, a student can download all academic documents (e.g. lecture notes, unit handbook, programme handbook, student handbook and assignment specification) from Moodle. This facility is available 24/7 and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

Teaching Facilities and Resources

MRC has whiteboards, overhead projectors and portable multimedia projectors available in classrooms for teaching purposes.

Photocopying/Printing Facility

There are a number of photocopiers/printers available for students to use, and any relevant academic documents (within copyright license regulations) can be copied at the price of 5p per page. Handouts may be provided to students as appropriate without any cost during class time.

Students’ Canteen/Cafeteria

Facilities are in place for snacks, fruit juices, and soft drinks in the canteen, offering students a range of sandwiches and salads at affordable prices. In addition, the college has a Starbucks café.

English Language Support

While continuing with their studies, students desiring to improve their English academic skills are encouraged to attend language classes every Saturday for only 40 per month.

Credit Transfer

Academic credits earned at a different institution can be transferred towards obtaining your degree or diploma. However, this is subject to the approval of the relevant authority.

Banking Services

The College provides the necessary documents and support for students to open local bank accounts.

Careers Advice

We provide advice to students on their course of choice and guidance in their future career. Careers guidance is provided by specialists in the field, and the Head of Department. The Student Welfare section may also help students to search for part-time jobs to support them during their studies.
