At Mont Rose College, the October Student Café at Shakespeare House offered more than advice—it delivered real, personalised support. Students arrived with questions and left with clear next steps, from placement opportunities to CV improvements and competition guidance.
Led by the Employability team, alongside a Student Ambassador, the session created a focused yet relaxed space where students could speak openly about their goals. Support ranged from job applications and volunteering pathways to creative projects and welfare guidance. Each student received tailored follow-up, ensuring progress continued beyond the session.
The café highlighted a strong drive among students to gain hands-on experience and explore new opportunities. It also reinforced the importance of building stronger links with employers. This session showed how small, targeted conversations can lead to meaningful action—helping students move forward with clarity and purpose.
