Is it time for a career change?
If you’re bored with your job and you feel like you are no longer learning, signing up for a course to prompt a career change or second job could be an option for you. You may feel like you are ‘too old’ for accountancy, and if that’s the case you are not alone, because research carried out this year found that although 31% of people consider changing job a few times a month, employees “are most likely to consider themselves ‘trapped’ at work at the age of 36”. However, this view does not mean that people can’t apply to retrain and find a different vocation, such as moving into business and finance:
“Many people incorrectly believe that they have to stick with their career despite being a reasonably young age.” Suzie Webb, spokesperson for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), told The Daily Telegraph earlier this year.
