At Mont Rose College, we are committed to connecting our students with real-world opportunities that help shape their future careers. On 24th September 2025, our Employability team hosted a special session introducing students to the Energise Programme, delivered by Catch22 in partnership with Shell UK, at Mont Rose House.
Exploring Career Opportunities
The session featured guest speaker Amanda-T Schlichte, Career Coach at Catch22, who explained how Energise supports young people—particularly those not currently in employment, education, or training (NEET)—to develop confidence, skills, and long-term career pathways, with a focus on the energy transition sector.
Students learned about practical steps to prepare for work, including CV guidance, job application tips, and access to ongoing career coaching. The session emphasised how Energise creates opportunities for sustainable employment and skill development beyond the classroom.
Positive Impact & Engagement
The session received highly positive feedback, with attendees describing it as engaging, informative, and immediately relevant to their career goals. Participants particularly valued the practical guidance on CVs, job applications, and the insights provided into the Energise Programme, which helped boost their confidence and motivation to pursue career opportunities.
As a result of the session, five students signed up for the programme immediately, while many others expressed their intention to apply in the near future—demonstrating the strong impact of the workshop in inspiring and supporting students.
Looking Ahead
This session highlights Mont Rose College’s commitment to empowering students with the skills, guidance, and confidence they need to succeed. Through programmes like Energise, we continue to open doors to exciting career pathways and opportunities in emerging sectors, helping students take their next steps with clarity and confidence.
