On 13th December 2024, the Mont Rose College Outreach Team participated in the Caterham High School Careers Fair in Redbridge. Running from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, the event was an exceptional platform to guide students as they begin considering their futures and career aspirations.
This fair brought together many opportunities, with multiple stalls showcasing universities, apprenticeship providers, and representatives from the police, army, and air force. It provided a comprehensive overview of the various possibilities for young individuals navigating their educational and career journeys
Connecting with the Future
At the Mont Rose College stall, we engaged with enthusiastic students from Years 7 to 12, who visited in groups throughout the day. These bright young minds demonstrated a keen interest in learning about higher education and how Mont Rose College could support them in achieving their goals.
Our team provided detailed insights on:
- The Range of Courses we offer, spanning various disciplines tailored to equip students with the knowledge and skills required in today’s dynamic workforce.
- Student Finance – explaining the available funding options to make access to higher education more achievable for all.
- Application Timelines and Processes – discussing the ideal time to apply and how students can seamlessly submit their applications.
- Understanding Qualifications – highlighting the differences between Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) and full degrees, and which option might better align with each individual’s ambitions.
The students’ curiosity and thoughtful and practical questions underscored their eagerness to explore educational pathways leading to fulfilling careers.
