Returning to Campus
When will my face-to-face teaching start again?
Mont Rose College, due to the current guidance provided by Government, will be offering hybrid teaching from September 2021. The safety of staff and students is our main priority, and we will be conducting risk assessments of our campuses so you can return to the COVID-secure campus. But in case the government guidelines change, we will inform and update you accordingly. Otherwise, we will review the situation by the end of August for September 2021 semester. If the government guidance concerning the higher education providers changes due to the COVID -19, we will move to online learning immediately. We will provide you with all the required information before the start of the classes in September 2021.
When I am coming back to campus, how will it be keeping me safe?
Your health and safety are our priority; we review our risk assessment monthly to keep the campus COVID secure.
There are 2m social distancing signage throughout the campus, and one-way traffic is operational throughout the campus. The students have to follow the COVID code of conduct and college rules to move around the campus.
We have increased cleaning, and the use of face coverings, etc. Your learning is our priority, and we understand how important it is for you to use the practical facilities like the library and computer laboratory.
All teaching and assessment will be conducted through hybrid learning from September 2021 except Buckinghamshire New University courses which will be taught through face to face medium.
Will I be able to meet my teacher?
Yes, you will be able to meet your teachers.
How can I access my timetable?
Your timetable can be viewed by accessing Moodle. The Student Services Team will forward the timetable to all student emails, and also, the messages will be sent on student mobile numbers.
Will all the sessions I attend be recorded?
If we decide to move to online teaching due to any change in the external environment, all the online sessions conducted through Google Meet or MS Teams will be recorded and remain on Moodle. In the case of Buckinghamshire New University courses, all the lectures will be conducted through face to face teaching from September onwards. In case of change in government guidance, the lectures may move to online through the medium of Collaborate, which will be recorded and remain on Blackboard. These recordings are helpful for those students who are unable to attend the sessions so they can go through the recorded lectures to keep with the pace of their studies.
How will I submit my coursework?
Your coursework will be submitted online like it used to be before the start of the pandemic.
Are students and staff required to wear face coverings on campus?
We continue to expect all staff and students to wear face-covering (unless exempt) in all indoor areas on campus, including corridors, library, etc. In any office or teaching space/classroom where 2-meter social distancing is not possible. This is to protect one another, and we ask everyone to do the right thing for the University community.
