It is a 120-credit programme that focuses particularly on health and social care sector. This level is equivalent to that of 2 GCE A level. The general duration of this course is two to three years and it follows flexible programming.
Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social care – This is an ideal course for those who are interested in pursuing their career with a caring role in the field of management or Senior Worker status. Like every other Health and Social care course level 4 diploma will allow you to learn, develop and practise the skills that are required for career progression within Adult care.
Level 4 course has a flexible start date and takes up to 18 months to complete. Attendance is not mandatory as the qualification is delivered within the workplace.
The programme is taught in a variety of ways that include observation, assignments, question and answers, presentations, case studies and assessments. The assessments will be work-based and require a real-time experience that needs to be presented as a written-assessment.
The successful completion of this course will get you in the leadership position in term of health and social care (Adult).
Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Course – The QCF level 5 in Health and Social Care has replaced the NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care. This course is considered to be the equivalent to that of a Higher National Diploma (HND). In the UK this course leads to a leadership quality within health and social care services.
Students who complete this course successfully will gain an internationally recognised qualification in their occupation that can lead them to work in with the adults and children.
Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care course is authorized by OFQUAL and approved by the Skills for Care and Development to ensure the conditions and standards that are required by the Care Quality Commission are met.
Basic requirements for enrolment to the Health and Social Care course
The applicants must be of age 19+ and employed in a relevant vocational setting in order to proceed with the Health and Social care course. Apart from this, the student must have completed the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
This course is flexible enough to offer students the space and time to learn on their own. The normal set duration for the course is 36 months, but most of the students finish off it in around 9 months.
Once the student has completed the level 5 Health and Social Care programme, they can move on to the QCF Level 7 Diploma in Leadership and Management to obtain an appropriate management position.
